Compsoft Creative develop custom skills for Amazon Alexa. This can range from simple questions and commands such as playing a radio station, or instructions for a recipe to controlling your home automation. 

First the skills need designing. While Alexa skills have limited to zero user interface, there is still a user interaction which needs to be defined e.g. what can the user say/ask Alexa and how will she respond.

Even the simplest skill can be a challenge when you have to navigate the idiosyncrasies of  Amazon's development environment. More complex skills require custom lambda services and even custom server applications and MQTT brokers.
