Compsoft Announces iPhone Application Development

Having been developing applications for use on mobile platforms (Windows XDA and PDA, for example) for years, Hampshire based Compsoft has recently become an authorised iPhone application developer to expand the services and functionality available to its customers.

Responding to the growing use of iPhones in business and interest in using the handsets for commercial purposes, Compsoft has proven its iPhone application development expertise and is authorised to create and supply applications for the iPhone.

Managing Director Phil Lenton said of the move: "Developing native applications on the iPhone means that we can deliver rich application interfaces and vital data to users wherever they are – even if they can’t rely on a 3G or WiFi connection.  We feel that the iPhone represents a fabulous new platform that has not yet been fully exploited for the business user and ensures that our customers can get the widest choice of solutions available."

Compsoft is looking to provide useful applications for businesses, already an in-house bug tracker is in use with the account management team. It is thought that Compsoft may even create applications for resale on the iTunes Store (watch this space!).
