Location: San Francisco, California
Event: Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2010
Reason: To learn the latest development techniques and ideas direct from Apple software engineers.

Compsoft has sent some of its developers over to the top Apple development event of the year - the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2010 in San Francisco, California.

With the market for smartphone applications growing at an astounding pace - and with the Apple iPhone often leading the charge - the need for Compsoft to stay right at the front of the mobile development world is huge.

The WWDC, running from 7th-11th June 2010, is the number one Apple event of the year for developers. Available to only 5,000 developers worldwide (it sold out in 8 days this year), Apple sends 1,000 of its own top software engineers to run over 100 different technical session and dozens of interactive labs. Highlights include a 30 minute one-on-one session with a designer critiquing one of your own apps, technical sessions ranging from OpenGL-ES to Core Data, and of course the Keynote speech on Monday morning by none other than Steve Jobs, Apple CEO.

The only downside is that the entire event, other than the keynote, is covered by a Non Disclosure Agreement, so Compsoft will not be able to provide any technical blogs during the week. Rest assured, however, that the knowledge gained this week will all be going back into making sure Compsoft can write even better mobile apps.
