ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for the quality management of businesses and is implemented in approximately one million organisations in 161 countries. The framework is maintained by The International Organisation for Standardisation and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies.
Compsoft plc has been ISO 9001-certified since 2004 and has adopted the universal framework to monitor its unique business processes to ensure the quality of service provided to its customers. Some of the basic requirements of certification include:
- a set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business
- monitoring development processes to ensure they are producing quality products
- keeping records
- checking outgoing applications for defects, with appropriate corrective action where necessary
- regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness; and
- facilitating continual improvement
Regular monitoring ensures that these standards are upheld and that Compsoft remains worthy of its title as an accredited ISO 9001 provider.
