Having experienced unexpected growth, waste management company HippoWaste found the exsiting IT systems unable to cope with an increase in customer activity. This inability to cope and a desire to grow the business sustainably led HippoWaste to Compsoft to provide a bespoke solution to manage the company's activities.
Having taken significant time to understand the requirements of handling domestic and commercial waste, Compsoft plc created a bespoke software solution that would manage and process customer information and payments while giving Hippo management close control of logistics. The functionality of the delivered application includes online collection booking, secure payment, collection scheduling, staff work flow management and trade contract management using a comprehensive, flexible pricing matrix. The system integrates seamlessly with their Sage accounting software.
In creating a bespoke database management system with Compsoft, HippoWaste were able to define the functionality that fully supports the unique ways in which the business works without compromise: how they serve customers, communicate internally and interact with suppliers, partners and remote staff. Such applications are creating more flexible working environments for staff, delivering efficiency savings while providing a system that will scale with the company’s continuing success. Since this application's launch, Compsoft has supported HippoWaste with new, innovative solutions enabling the business to make more of automated information management.
