Founded in 1979, Compsoft first developed Delta, a market-leading DOS-based database which is still used by
many organisations today. With the launch of Microsoft™ Windows and a growing demand for more effective and
flexible ways of managing complex data, Compsoft developed Equinox, a rapid application development tool and
database environment. Equinox is now distributed through a network of value-added resellers and is in use in SMEs,
blue-chip companies and governmental bodies.
In the mid 1990s, Compsoft used its extensive database expertise to develop Mirago, a UK-specific internet
search engine. In 1998, Mirago became a separate company and continues to spearhead indexing technologies: it
featured in the 2005 Sunday Times™ Tech Track list of the UK’s fastest growing companies.
