Technical Support Analyst

An opportunity has arisen within the technical support department of Compsoft plc, a fast growing independent Software House based in Alton.

The successful candidate would be responsible for resolving customer support issues including email queries, web based requests and telephone calls. These requests could be from our developers and internal consultancy staff who use an internally written database product, or from our external customers using applications built with Microsoft technologies like SQL Server and .Net.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who has strong interests in IT, experience of telephone support, and knowledge of RAD tools, relational and hierarchical databases

Desired Skills:

  • A degree, or equivalent experience in IT.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office
  • Good understanding of computer hardware and networking
  • Basic knowledge of databases programs such as Microsoft Access or SQL Server
  • Some experience of programming languages such as Visual Basic, Delphi, C, or HTML
  • Good phone manner
  • Enthusiasm to learn is essential

Salary will be in the range of £12-18,000 dependant on experience.
