Compsoft Completes Risk Management Software

Compsoft has completed bespoke software development of a complex data system for a risk management consultancy.

The client has over many years, created analysis models for niche industry sectors that are used to quantify risk for insurance and finance purposes.

In order to use the models, data was compiled using an internally developed Microsoft Access application; however, after weeks of development, the solution was abandoned. The business realised that Microsoft Access, as a platform, was not able to handle the requirements of the business. Compsoft, as a leading provider of bespoke software solutions, was brought in to develop a solution that could accurately compile the data more efficiently and reliably.

Working on site, Compsoft reviewed the requirements and rewrote the system using C# programming based upon a SQL Server database.

As an additional benefit, the rigorous development process has identified previously unknown issues that were prevalent with some of the sourced data, enabling the consultancy to improve the quality of data input.

Now complete, the consultancy is successfully running tasks.
