Compsoft at TechEd 2008

To quote Compsoft Senior Developer Tim Jeanes it is "a solid week of non-stop dawn-till-dusk hardcore geekery". The week referred to is Microsoft's Tech-Ed developer conference 2008 held, as it was last year, in Catalonia's capital city, Barcelona.

Each year Microsoft takes over a conference facility, brings together key personnel and thousands of developers from across Europe and provides the opportunity to illustrate new products and emerging technologies. Compsoft, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, sends developers to Tech-Ed to ensure that they are up to date with technologies, aware of what is happening with the latest products and able to provide valuable feedback on what new features will benefit applications being developed in the near future.

Throughout the week Microsoft provides the opportunity for developers to hear directly from the experts in panel-led discussions, in hands-on workshops and discuss what is being said with other developers in breakout sessions. And, if last year's event is anything to go by, they provide loads of donuts and litres of caffeine. Of great interest will be an update on the recent release of Silverlight version 2, clarification of rumours heard on LINQ technology and an insight in to Visual Studio 2010.
